To make the cue jump over the numbered ball, the player must have a steady hand and strike downward with the cue from a high angle.
The Jump Buddy is a sturdy hand-bridge that provides a stable platform
for this shot. It can be used as a training aid, or in regular play.
Reaching over several balls can make the bridge hand unsteady. It also gives few options on where the cue can strike the ball. Such shots are rarely successful.
Shots near the rails present additional challenges. If there is not room to use the standard tripod, one of the legs can be replaced with a short "rail leg."
